Our approach: Shammah COGIC uses this website and the separate Shammah Connect app to support church communication and ministry. We aim to collect only information reasonably needed to provide those services.

Information you may provide

Depending on the feature you use, you may provide information such as your name, email address, phone number, account information, ministry interests, messages sent to church leadership, prayer or teaching-related content, and other information you choose to submit.

Google Sign-In

If you choose Google Sign-In in Shammah Connect, Google may provide basic account information needed for authentication, such as your name, email address, profile information and a unique Google account identifier. Shammah Connect uses this information to sign you in, identify or create the appropriate church account, and provide app features.

Payments

Online giving uses Square's hosted checkout. Payment-card details are entered with Square. Shammah COGIC does not intend for this website or Shammah Connect to store full payment-card numbers.

Notifications

If you enable browser or app notifications, the service may use OneSignal and browser/device information needed to deliver those notifications. Notification permission is optional and can be changed in your browser or device settings.

How information is used

Information may be used to authenticate users, provide church and ministry services, route messages to ministry leadership, support giving records, deliver notifications, maintain security, respond to support requests, and improve Shammah's digital services.

Sharing

Shammah COGIC does not sell personal information to advertisers. Information may be processed by service providers used to operate the website and app, including Google, Netlify, Square and OneSignal, as applicable to the feature you use. Information may also be available to authorized church leaders or administrators when needed for ministry, safety, support or administration.

Data requests and deletion

You may request help reviewing, correcting or deleting eligible Shammah Connect account information. Visit the Data Request / Deletion page for instructions.

Security and retention

We use reasonable technical and administrative safeguards. Information is retained for as long as reasonably needed for church operations, ministry records, legal obligations, security, or the purposes described in this policy.
